Out first look at the Indian Ocean in Port Elizabeth
Sam gettin' his rock on in SA
They weren't allowed to take hat down the abseil cause they had helmets. We all have rolls to play.
Sam flexin' his skills in the scenic Graham Beck Reserve
Instructors are sooooo METAL!
Trail work is done all by hand. No chainsaws allowed.
Braai-master Marco
Lunch time after trailer work
Touring the tuk tuk factory (sigh)
Deon, Fabio and Marco doing god's work. Notice Marco's lack of shoes. Man had leather on his feet.

Tafara was one of the older SBF Alumni. He hated the closed-toe shoes at all time policy.
Circles in the reserve
Checking out the view during lunch
Stick Legs (Muzafirr) hated the packs and I can't really blame her
When we took breaks on the hikes, the students crashed hard
Check out the book Tafara is reading. He got it from one of the other SBF Alumni who was learning as much as he could about dictators and oppressive regimes.

Sam at the lighthouse on the Cape of Good Hope
The actual Cape of Good Hope
On the Cape
All along the cape there were these small towns that reminded us of southern California or Baja
Sam and I in different oceans
Matriarch shields us from the herd
The whole family
A giraffe we drove past before reversing to get this shot
Best shot we were able to get of the rhino carcass the lion was feeding on
Seconds away from actually being a good photographer. They say lions are part of the Big Five to see in Africa along with giraffes, elephants, rhinos and hippos.
Water Buffalos must be part of the Average Eight then.
Zebras are also in the A8
Ibans must be part of the lesser eleven.
As are hyenas
These are wonderful. I am surprised you were able to get so close. Wondering how big a water buffalo actually is. What is a braai? And did you get to spend any time in any of the towns along the Cape?
